Personalized Customer Service - Walking The Walk

Living in Israel, people joke all the time, especially new immigrants from the USA and Europe, that customer service here is somewhat akin to UFOs; you have heard that they exist but very few of us have really seen them in action.  Well, here is what I did as a real estate broker just last week alone. First I took a young couple from their hotel and we went looking to view and buy small apartments around Netanya for two straight days and we actually ended up seeing six apartments. This was after we had researched and ruled out 25 apartments that did not meet our criteria. After we found the apartment they wanted, I drove them around to make sure the neighborhood would work for  them. They decided to buy that that apartment. Later the same week,  at another client's request as they were out of town,  I drove 2.5 hours one way to deliver a deposit check to a developer to ensure that they could begin the contract negotiation phase on their recent new project purchase. Let me back up. The second couple met with me months ago and we drove around Rehovot looking at properties but could not decide on anything. Months later, I met them up north and drove them to a new project and then around the area to see if they would want to live there. That closed the deal. The same day, I then drove them back south with me so  they wouldn't have to sit on a train for 2 hours. Bottom line; it's a service business and if you deliver great customer service , people will become your clients and refer you to their friends and family.

The Essential Basics Of Real Estate Customer Service

As a real estate agent, providing excellent customer service should be at the forefront of your mind. Buying or selling a property is a major life decision for most people, and the process can be complex and overwhelming. As the agent, it's your responsibility to guide your clients through the process and provide them with the support they need to make informed decisions.

In this blog, we'll discuss some tips for providing excellent customer service as a real estate agent.

Communication is key One of the most important aspects of providing good customer service as a real estate agent is communication. It's essential to keep your clients informed throughout the buying or selling process. Make sure you are easily accessible by phone, email, or text, and respond to messages in a timely manner.

Be proactive in keeping your clients up-to-date with any developments or changes in the process.
Listen to your clients Another crucial element of providing excellent customer service is listening to your clients. Take the time to understand their needs, concerns, and preferences. Ask questions to clarify any points of confusion and make sure you're on the same page. By listening to your clients, you can tailor your services to meet their specific requirements, which will increase their satisfaction with your services. Be knowledgeable and helpful

As a real estate agent, you should be knowledgeable about the local real estate market, property values, and the buying and selling process. Use this knowledge to provide helpful advice and guidance to your clients. Provide them with information about the neighborhoods they are interested in, schools in the area, and local amenities.

If your clients have questions or concerns, do your best to provide them with the information they need to make informed decisions. Be patient and understanding Buying or selling a property can be a stressful and emotional process, and it's important to be patient and understanding with your clients.
Understand that they may have different priorities or timelines than you do, and be flexible and accommodating where possible. If they are feeling overwhelmed or uncertain, provide them with reassurance and support to help them through the process.

Go above and beyond Finally, if you want to provide exceptional customer service, you should be willing to go above and beyond for your clients. This might mean providing extra information or resources, helping them with the moving process, or even just checking in with them after the sale to see how they're doing. By going the extra mile, you can demonstrate your commitment to your clients and build long-term relationships with them.

Providing excellent customer service as a real estate agent is essential to building a successful business. By communicating effectively, listening to your clients, being knowledgeable and helpful, being patient and understanding, and going above and beyond, you can ensure that your clients are satisfied with your services and are more likely to refer you to their friends and family in the future.
